To do the Pronunciation Exercise, you need two "Xtras"
components of the program.
When you enter a Pronunciation Exercise, a grey alert
window from VeriSign will pop up on the screen and prompt you to download
the Xtras. Click "Install" to download the Xtras. If the Xtras
are not installed, you will not be able to enter the Pronunciation Exercise.
If you experience problems with the automatic installation, you can install
the Xtras manually. The location of the folder where the Xtras must be
saved vary according to the operating system. Please follow these guidelines:
A) Click
here to download the first Xtra. Click "Save" when prompted;
leave the name of the Xtra as it appears (amplitude.x32); and save the
Xtra in the correct location depending on your operating system:
Macintosh 9.x
System Folder > Extensions > Macromedia > Shockwave 10 > Xtras
Macintosh OS X
Library > Application Support > Macromedia > Xtras
Windows 95 and Windows 98 ME
Windows > System > Macromed > Shockwave 10 > Xtras
Windows NT4 and 2000
Winnt > System32 > Macromed > Shockwave 10 > Xtras
Windows XP
Windows> System32 > Macromed > Shockwave 10 > Xtras
B) Click
here to download the second Xtra, and repeat the process. Click "Save";
leave the name of the Xtra as it is (recsnd9a.x32); and look for the correct
location:

Macintosh OS X
Library > Application Support > Macromedia > Xtras

Important!
Some browsers will let you download the Xtras only in compressed format.
Click
here to download the xtras.zip file. Once you have downloaded the
file, you will need to "unzip" it before moving it into the
appropriate folder specified above.
