What do I need in order to take the Vocabulary Class?
You need the Flash player to be able to view the Vocabulary Class. Macromedia
Flash Player is a free software that lets you view interactive content
created with Macromedia Flash. You probably already have the Flash player
on your computer because it is pre-installed in several operating systems
and web browsers, including Windows, Apple Macintosh, Netscape Navigator,
and America Online. If you have an older version of the player, you may
need to upgrade it from time to time. If you are being asked to update
the Flash player, please do so by following the instructions on the screen.
To take advantage of all the features of the Vocabulary Class, you should also be equipped with audio hardware (sound card) and speakers or headphones/headset. Please keep the option "enable JavaScript" selected in your browser's preferences as well.
2. All I see is a blank page. Why?
You may not have the Macromedia Flash Player that is necessary to view
the class. You can install it for free here.
3. I've installed Flash, but I seem to have problems
with it. What can I do?
You can test the Flash player to make sure it's working correctly. Please
visit the Macromedia web players testing site here.

4. I have a technical problem, but do not know
what it is. How can I get help?
The Vocabulary Class has been produced to a professional web
publishing standard: it has been tested on different systems and has
run as
beta versions
for months to provide you with an easy-to-use and flawless program. Since
systems incompatibilities still exist for any online products, however,
occasionally there may be technical problems.
Should you experience technical difficulties, please be patient: most of the time it is something simple that can be fixed easily. Read through the FAQ on our website: the solution can usually be found here.
If you cannot find a solution, please send an e-mail to admin@LearnPlus.com and explain, as precisely as you can, what is wrong. Include each of the following:
• the code of the error you received, if an alert box popped up
on your screen (e.g. # IDXML202, etc.)
• the browser version you are using (e.g. Internet Explorer 6.0, Netscape
Navigator 5.0, Safari 1.2, etc.)
• the platform you work on (e.g. Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP, NT, Mac, etc.)
• the type of your Macintosh computer, if you are using one (e.g. PowerMac
6100/60, G3, iBook, etc.)
• the type of network, if your computer is part of one (e.g. school, office,
cyber-café, etc.)
If you do not know how to find out the above information, please tell us and we will try to find out together. In any case, do give us all the pertinent information you can (e.g. what appears on the page when you try to log into the Vocabulary Class or take the Quick Tour, at what point you get stuck, etc.)
