Austrias internal electronic media scene is still greatly controlled by the former state monopoly ("ORF"), although liberalization is in progress and most hotels in Vienna have international television programs. The two Austrian terrestrial channels are "ORF1" and "ORF2". "ORF2" has news in German mostly at 9 am, 1 pm, 5 pm, 7:30 pm, 10 pm and midnight. On the radio there are news in English and French at 8 am on "Ö1" (92.00 Mhz). Sometimes "FM4" (in Vienna on 103.8 Mhz) also has programs in English. The leader on the radio market is "Ö3"
(99.0 Mhz) which plays the usual selection of pop hits. If you prefer
classical music, you can listen to "Radio Stephansdom" (107.8
Mhz).
