Austria’s postal network is fast and reliable. Mail boxes are yellow and scattered all around the city. Usually, mail is collected several times a day, including on weekends.

Stamps are available at post offices and usually at kiosks that sell postcards. Sending a letter of up to 20g or a postcard costs 51 Euro cents within Europe and 1.09 Euro overseas.

The central post office at Fleischmarkt 19 is open 24-hours a day.
